Terms of use and booking policy

Last updated 15 October 2026

These terms cover the meeting room, the virtual office plans (Mailbox Only, Virtual Office and Virtual Office Plus) and our business registration and company incorporation services at The Business Loft, Lot 43 Croal Street, Stabroek, Georgetown. Prices are on the rate card, in Guyana dollars.

Plans

  • Starting a plan. A plan needs one photo ID and one proof of address before we switch it on. Your plan starts the day we activate it, not the day you pay; most are live within one working day.
  • Billing. Plans are billed monthly or annually in advance through your mailbox account, which is provided by our mailbox-management partner, SphereMail. Annual plans cost ten months and cover twelve. A one-off set-up fee is charged with your first payment: GYD 1,000 for Mailbox Only, GYD 1,500 for Virtual Office and GYD 2,200 for Virtual Office Plus. It is not refundable once your plan has been switched on.
  • Changing or cancelling. Thirty days’ written notice, at any time, no penalty. Move up a plan whenever you like and we pro-rate the month.
  • Price changes. The rate card is reviewed each 1 January. Any change is capped and notified at least sixty days in advance. The opening rates end on 31 December 2026; from 1 January 2027 the standard rates apply to every client. A plan paid annually before 31 December holds its rate for the twelve months it covers.
  • Using the address. You may use Lot 43 Croal Street, Stabroek as your business address on cards, invoices, letterhead and your website. If you register a business name or incorporate a company through us, our address may be filed as its principal place of business or registered office while your plan is active. Otherwise, it may not be filed as either without our written agreement. You may not describe it as premises you occupy full-time, and you may not use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend a plan, with notice where the law allows, if the address is misused or identification is not kept current.
  • Mail. We handle your mail as set out in our privacy and mail-handling policy. We do not accept cash, hazardous or perishable items, or anything that requires refrigeration.

Business registration and company incorporation

  • Business Registration package. Using the application form and letter of authorisation you complete and sign, we file your business-name registration under the Business Names (Registration) Act with the Deeds and Commercial Registries Authority (DCRA), and apply on your behalf for a Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) tax compliance certificate and a National Insurance Scheme (NIS) compliance certificate. The fee is a one-off GYD 30,000 (US$150), which includes DCRA’s registration fee and the GYD 1,000 mailbox set-up fee. It is paid through your mailbox account when you sign up for the package, and it is not refundable once the registration has been filed. Each office decides its own application; we cannot guarantee that a certificate will be issued, or when.
  • Companies. Company incorporation is offered through our partnership with an external attorney-at-law, who prepares and files your incorporation documents under the Companies Act using standard by-laws, from the details you give us. The fee is a one-off GYD 275,000 (US$1,375), paid in cash at our office at Lot 43 Croal Street, Stabroek, before the documents are filed. Your company’s registered office is Lot 43 Croal Street, Stabroek, with a unit number we assign once you have submitted the form and signed up for our Virtual Office plan.
  • Your plan. Using our address as a business’s principal place of business, or a company’s registered office, requires an active plan. If your plan ends, you must file the change with DCRA within the time the law allows; we will remind you.
  • The offices decide. Whether a name is accepted, a company is incorporated or a compliance certificate is issued is the decision of DCRA, GRA or NIS.
  • Accurate details. You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you give us, and for having the agreement of every person you name. Giving false particulars in a registration is an offence.

Meeting room

  • Booking. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30–16:30, with a one-hour minimum then half-hours. On Saturdays the room is available 08:00–12:00. We don’t take evening bookings. Book online on our booking page or at reception.
  • Paying. Pay online when you book, or at reception. First-time bookings may take a 50% deposit with the balance on the day. Plan clients can be invoiced monthly.
  • Changing or cancelling. Free up to 24 hours before. Inside 24 hours we keep half the booking fee; a no-show is charged in full. Message us before you cancel — we would rather move it than charge you.
  • In the room. Ten seats for meetings; up to twelve for Saturday events in an open layout. Please leave the room as you found it. You are responsible for damage caused by you or your guests.
  • Included hours. Virtual Office Plus includes four meeting-room hours a month, which don’t roll over.

We take reasonable care with your mail, your calls and your bookings. We are not responsible for delays caused by postal services, couriers, telephone networks or events outside our control, and our liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before it arose, except where the law does not allow that limit.
